Hi,

I just received my P4P, upgraded from P4.
With the P4 I had selected the "Video Caption" ON, and I was getting the .srt files just fine. Now, with the P4P, the .srt files are not being generated. In the Go App, I've turned ON the "Video Caption" and "Show GPS Coordinates " in Litchi.
Note: Phantom and Remote always ON when selecting option.

Problem solved! P4P embeds caption info in video thus no need for .srt file. Was using VLC, but captions were too small plus had problems playing 4K video. After some research found PotPlayer in works a lot better and captions are same as before (P4). Hope this helps... Cheers!

Same here but moved from a P4 to a P4-Adv+ and needed a video player just to show the in-bedded data, as in Windows-10 film/tv player you use to be able to add the SRT-File.

This PotPlayer64 works just great and you can move the subtitled text info to anywhere on the screen and re-size it.

Just for anyone new to Potplayer you can do this! > by clicking the control-panel/settings tab at the bottom of the page and chose Subtitles in the popup menu. image-added
