Hello

The company where I work is thinking to buy the Matrice 600 Pro + Ronin-MX + Remote Start/Stop + Sony A7R II to do mapping, photogrammetry, surveying, etc.
This is a good combo? Apps like GS Pro, DroneDeploy, Pix4d Capture, etc. works with this combo? The images is geotagging in the SD photo file?

Thanks.

The Sony A7Rii is probably the best photography camera I can recommend for the M600. Snapping photos with the Sony has zero video transmission blackout, unlike lots of other cameras I've used with this setup.

A potential problem you might run into is the geotagging. I'm not sure how accurate the A7Rii is at GPS location, especially with a drone blocking most of the area above the camera in flight. The M600, to my knowledge, does not have the capability to transfer GPS data to the images that the Sony takes. I imagine you'd need the GPS data of each photo to be pretty accurate for 3D modelling, and I'm skeptical that the in-built Sony GPS info would be good enough for this.

UPDATE: Seems like there's a solution for this, after all! http://forum.dji.com/thread-93218-1-1.html
Looks like you can just export shutter GPS data from the A3 flight controller afterwards.

Hi 3x3g, yes as you say I would need the GPS data of each photo, I saw in other forums that an option is use Field of View GeoSnap this device detect when a shutter event is happen and save the GPS data then in the software of the company (GeoSnap) you can pair the photo and GPS data, the problem is that GeoSnap have a price of $1,450 USD. I don't understand too much the solution you post it, If you can help me I would appreciate it a lot.

Thanks.

If you are searching for remote controling of A7 cameras, check - AIR Commander. Device will gives you FULL control above any of A7 cameras in mid air. What more, AIR Commander powers your camera from gimbal PTAP connector, which is the best function for mapping or 3D modeling.
Remote acces to
-ISO
-Shutterspeed
-Aperture
-Shutter trigger (single AND highspeed)
-Menu of camera and all functions in the menu

Hi,  KlauGeomatics has announced a new PPK GPS technology for accurate aerial surveying using DJI drones without placing ground targets. See https://www.veritypositioning.com/ for more details.
