My current laptop is on the verge of being given its last rites and needs an update, whilst doing so I want to make the right choice regarding the ability to edit videos in 4k etc and have no issues.

I will be honest and admit I am a little naive when it comes to this field and thought I would ask for a little assitance with the two Ive found.

I will prob put premier pro on it then the 4dpix etc in due course.

I understand a mac may be better suited than windows for video/creative stuff but really need a windows laptop as I havnt the time to learn to convert to windows as my work is best suited to windows etc.

Let me know if you can see an issue with anything or would they be generally ok or maybe need an upgraded graphics card or something?

They are both the same price but the one on the left is 17.3" no touch screen with an extra 15mins battery life and the one on the right is 15.6" touchscreen.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like they have the same specs.  Who makes them if you don't mind me asking.  Personally I would go for the bigger screen. Touch screen is a gimmick unless the screen comes off and you can use it like a tablet.  My wife has a touch screen and it you have a mouse, you are just not going to lift your hand from it to touch the screen.  OMHO

Good point, I have a little touch screen for on the move and its a gimmick and a pain sometimes.

Both are HP Envy. Not sure if that's good or bad, just a main retailer has them tbh.

Not trying to be a crazy Apple fan but... If you're interested you could look into the option of having both Windows and OS X by running using the BootCamp mode on an MacBook Pro.  Possibly the best of both worlds??

I will be honest, I am not a big HP fan, but some swear by them.

Maybe a 4k laptop would be the way to go....?

It seems they are for gaming though.

I have had terrible luck with Dell and Toshiba. Have a HP desktop and laptop both work flawlessly and I have never had any issues.
