wow, congrats, its definitely an amazing place to get married, we saw loads of couple photo shoots , atleast 5 every day we were there.....

Those are some great photos! Nice job! I am also trying to get better at the camera. But, does anyone know how to prevent the sky getting washed out by the sun? That keeps happening, and the sky turns all white.

That is because of the limited dynamic range that the camera can see, if you are shooting a scenery which has a large tonal range like in your example, shooting into the sun, the sun is very bright and the sky, but the landscape is not so bright, so you either have to expose for the sun or for the landscape.

The only option in such situations to bracket the shots, use the AEB option to take 3 or 5 shots which covers a wider tonal range and then you can either blend or Tone map using HDR software to get a well exposed final image.
