I just purchased a Voyager 3 by Walkera I want to compare my Inspire to this other bird I was wondering if anyone has flown one of these new birds?
I know it is so new so perhaps no one in the US has one yet however the friends overseas may have had theirs for a month now.

I've been kind of sketched out to buy the Voyager because there have been many reports of their motors catching fire...Walkera basically copied the Inspire.

I just heard today that the price has dropped by $200 and as for the people who have prepaid (Such as myself) they are compensating them by providing a free battery, it turns out that the batteries for this new bird are $290 ouch..also the first shipments have been delayed..Sounds familiar. And I do hope this thing will not catch fire as has been stated.

I will let everyone know and I will have comparison flights when I get this thing (Delayed shipment..LOL)   

Looking at the pre-order on Amazon its $2,600 looks like an I1 ripoff. Does not have light bridge, does not have optical flow sensors.

It sure makes the i1 dainty.  However the Voyager 3 is compared with the QR X800, it is a fixed H frame quadcopter (does not fold) with the same props (clamped, will never fly off).  Some details and videos here at flitetest http://forum.flitetest.com/showt ... ign-and-flight-test

Are they gonna make sure the props fly off the first batch, or they coming w/prop locks? (couldn't resist)

I had flown the Walkera V3. The quality and design on i1 is much better than v3. I had sold it away to buy the i1.

1. The camera gimbal mount design is a fail on the v3, just a screw type secure.  Poor design.
2. Need to waste time to unscrew 8 small screws to mount props. Waste time.
3. If u need to pack into the carry case, u need to take out 14 small screws to fit in. Waste time.
4. The battery is way too expensive, unlike i1. i1 battery has its balancing built within. Too expensive.
5. V3 weights about 3.5kg, including battery.
6. Impossible to fly indoors.

V3 is very stable as well when flown outdoors with full gps lock. High accuracy in landing with 10cm from takeoff.
In terms of taking video or pictures, Walkera has better technology than Dji becos u can control v3 with waypoints, POI, followme etc.
U can take pics or video with a single operator.

Overall, i still go with the i1 over v3.
Sadly, DJI has its own problems too.

LOL no problems there - a person has to screw them down - Now if the screws come loose???

I concur, had I realized all the work it takes to get this thing in the air I probably wouldn't have purchased it.
