I did finally break down and get a set of these winglet style folding props by T-Motor and they are FANTASTIC!

I f sound is an issue you can get the High Altitude props from DJI. There is a Pop up that says it doesn't like you using props at low altitudes but they most definitely are quieter.  I've been using those. More accurate flying than the standard props.

Can you give me a little more information about that? please.

Actually, a set means one CW pair and one CCW pair. That's how they are marketed.  So I got 2 sets - enough to fully equip one aircraft.

These props are insanely expensive.

Well, I was a bit skeptical about these folding props but curiosity got the better of me a couple months ago.  I bought the folding winglet style props by T-Motor and I love 'em!

I read somewhere - can't remember which forum - that these props even provide a little more lift.  After a very un-scientific test in my living room I'm convinced that it's true.

These work great!

Where do I find these red props I've seen people talk about in this thread. I just ordered the I2 Cinema package. Will my props be black or red?

There are many dji aircraft far heavier than inspire series using folding props with no issues.  Only weak point is the cheap glue that holds the motors onto the legs. If you get folders put them out before startup.

I can give you some good feedback on these props.  I have put about 50 hours of use on them and they work great.  They are bolted on and will not come off.  I do have a few issues but it is not with the props but other variables: #1  The screws that hold on the old quick release hubs and the new props ARE A BITCH TO TAKE OFF!!!  DJI has a lot of loctite on the threads so it takes some skill getting off the screws.  I understand DJI's concern about the screws but keep in mind that the springs on the stock hubs recommend replacement every 30 flights.  PM me if you want info on the screw removal.  #2 I bought a custom case for the I2 and once I mounted the new props, I had to cut out some foam to make the I2 fit with the new goodies.  

With that being said, the props are very stiff so it gives the I2 a bit more zip. I have not seen any lack of performance with the props.

Folding props are great, our heavy lifters all use folding props and they are lifting ARRI and Red cameras @ highspeeds and turns. Checkout Freefly ALTA8 and ALTA6

That ALTA8 is a monster.  But a bit out of my price range Im sure.

The DJI props are a joke I got one of the first I2 when they come out see all my posts on the prop problem I ended up modifying them my self  DJI sent me 9 sets free of charge, in May this year I started using my second I2 for the first time none of the 11 sets would even go on and lock so how can you trust them.

I have purchased there’s carbon fibre props working great.

DJI got it sort it out it’s been going on for long enough.
