i know we have seen enough hysteria-driven news stories about our hobby in the past 3 months to choke a horse...

So i thought I'd share one i saw on a more positive outlook...Not the holy grail of drone news but still nice to see none-the-less...

It makes sense. If one is suitably qualified and the equipment is up to the job then ok. The rest who don't qualify and own Phantoms!! must have line of site!

yes, exactly.  it is a step towards sensical rules not ones driven off of a lack of understanding and hype.  it is nice to see a government trying to solve the actual problems, not ones that are manufactured from what makes great news and gets people riled up.
