i have the same problem...upgrade to V01.04.0500 doesnt work on DJI App, so i connect my Mavic Pro to the PC with Software Assistant 2...same...the upgrade fails at about 24%...seems to be the same (trying 5 times) after the drone reboot...

Hello, I am also having trouble downgrading my Mavic Pro.  Stops at 40% every time and error undefined #0x020104 pops up.  V01.04.0500. Trying to downgrade because "Gimbal Disconnected" error has not allowed the Mavic Pro to work properly and thought resetting to factory settings might help.  Have already tried getting new SD card.  Any help will be appreciated.

Hi there, the beta is only available to the firmware older than 01.04.0000.
This error means the camera was failed to be updated/downgraded. Did you encounter any crash accident or hard landing?

No, no crashes or hard landings. Accidentally left the plastic gimble holder in once when turning on the Mavic. Realized and then took it out, so the gimble could do its thing. Do you think this could have caused any damage? I flew it after that just fine. Just one day it started giving me the gimble disconnected error and not recognizing my SD card. That is why I’m trying to downgrade to factory settings. Cant even do that hah

This error means there is something wrong with the gimbal, it is recommended to send in the drone for the further evaluation, please contact our support team www.dji.com/support to start a ticket.

I think that the controller electronics are broken. I have swapped the whole gimbal and camera module with a known good working one, and with it I also cannot use the camera features of th drone, and cannot upgrade firmware. However when I replaced the core board, it started working. So I assume that the problem lies in the core board, and probably in the DM3XX controller. I am trying to figure out how to solve this case on which DJI cannot provide usable information just the "send it in for evaluation" canned response.

Hello, I don't know if this thread is still active but I also have unresolved firmware update issues with my mavic pro. I'm stuck at firmware 01.03.0400 and cannot upgrade neither with dji go or dji assistant. My RC though is at firmware 01.04.xxx. Please help!

Air Encoder Error 0x8000
Gimbal Disconnected

You sent me a custom file to upgrade but it did not work.

I paid $1099 + tax for this drone and it is a garbage now. How can i solve this problem? And i don't want to pay more money.

I read some topics here and heard that DJI replaces the drones who has the same error. But i have no chance to send it to USA from Turkey. It costs min $300 for one way.

You have a service in Turkey but i don't want to repair with paying anymore money.

HELP ME!!! I want you to fix this problem. This is not my fault.

If the unit is under warranty period, and has not been involved with the crash or hard landing before, we sincerely suggest you start a case and send it in for diagnosis. Hi I have a mavic pro with software version 01.04.0400.
I have tried several times to upgrade to 01.04.0500 and every time fails at about 57% with message
"Upgrade failed. Restart the equipment and try again later.
Reason 0x03080103"
Anyone found a solution about this?
I have tried to upgrade only from the app on android, but reading all the thread history it seems that upgrading from the DJI Assistant 2 will have the same result.
Please advice.

I know this sounds crazy but I fixed my issue. The symptoms were as fololws;
  • Could not connect to Gimbal
  • Camera was blurry
  • Updates failed at 40% with the aircraft rebooting every time

It turned out that the SD card I had was causing issues with the Gimbal connectivity, camera focus, and the firmware updates. What is really weird is that the 32GB SD card that was giving me problems works like a champ in my P3P. After I switched back to the 16GB SD that was working with my Mavic Pro, the upgrade finished and everything worked again (Camera focus/Gimbal connection and control, etc)! Hope this helps someone out there.

Welcome to the club, mate. I and many others have the exact same problem. For some reason not every Mavic Pro can install the update to FW 01.03.0600. Nobody knows why. DJI recommends to send your drone for repair. But I have reverted the firmware like you and everything is fine. I try to wait for the next update. If it won't get better, I consider send it for repair. But not now...

USB 3.0 cause me issues, connect to a non 3.0 usb port

Yes I have, if you are using USB 3.0 it will usually fail, most likely from speed mismatch try a non USB 3.0 port. If you don't have a Non 3.0 port bummer I cant help you.

Hello team. My Mavic Pro having issues with board, so i can't fly. So i'm trying any way to reflash, downgrade  but no luck when upgrading, at 24% stuck. drone reboots, and error 0x02a304 comes to the screen. No way to do anything with it. Please assist.

Hi there, the issue is that the gimbal now says disconnected, and refreshing the firmware failed, right? If so, you may try to restart the drone multiple times. If the gimbal error persists, you may need to send the drone back for diagnosis.
