Please try to update the firmware with DJI Assistant 2, if fails, please provide the screenshot and your DJI account.

I managed to get onto v800 without having to go to v350.  It took several attempts.

My DJI came with v400.  I experienced several failures with DJI GO and DJI Assistant 2 to go directly to v800.   I tried to go to v550 with DJI Assistant 2, and it succeeded without issues.

I tried to use DJI Assistant to go to v600, and it failed at 57%.  
I tried to use DJI Go to go to v800 and recording running, and it failed at 74%.
I tried to use DJI Assistant to go to v800, and it failed again at 74%.
Then I tried to use DJI Go to go to v800 and while the app flashed a failure notice for a moment, it kept going to 100% and succeeded.

Right now the both DJI Go and DJI Assistant 2 say everything is up to date on v800.  Yay!

Looks like it takes you a long time to manage to update the firmware, I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused but it finally made it, I'm happy for you. If there is any other problem, please contact us any time.

One update is trying on .350, the other is .800, the RC will update not the Mavic. Factory reset and Mavic still says .000. I've uploaded the error logs several times.

They added .0350 for me, and after downgrading to it, hitting record and trying to update I still fail at 57% every time. The odd thing is I can successfully go between .0350 and .0550, but every other firmware fails. Since DJI support has been no help and I'm still within my return window with Costco I'm just going to take it back. It's too bad DJI doesn't seem to care about their customers.

I asked for version 0.35 to be sent to me weeks ago.
Pm's sent to both DJI representatives on this thread. Only one got back to me asking for my account email. I provided this almost immediately after the reply was sent and then from there no action......
(still waiting for 0.35)
Tried trouble shooting the problem by myself via other posts/facebook pages, multiple devices and PC's along with help from other mavic owners in person to no avail.
Ended up having to run RC and AC on version 0.55 as that was the only firmware I could get both on, otherwise id always get the "inconsistent firmware" notification when trying to fly.

Yesterday, I tried to fly it, thankfully this time in an open field. I took off, home point saved, everything all green with GPS and ready to fly. Flew directly up to 20m. AC suddenly disconnected from RC (App did NOT crash) and began flying on its own, up to around 40m high (home point is set to 30m, so if it was trying to fly home it had no business at 40m) flying in all directions and altitudes. When it finally stopped about 3-5 minutes later the AC hovered at about 3m altitude and said that it was landing on the RC (app screen still showing disconnection) and RC saying its trying to connect/landing. However, after waiting for another 2 minutes all it was doing is hovering. I then tried powering down the RC and restarting, this only connected for about 20 seconds before disconnecting again and still not landing. The only way to retrieve this was to get a friend of mine which is thankfully abnormally tall to pull it down from its hover position.

After somewhat successfully retrieving the drone. We powered everything down, restarted my phone entirely and tried again. (without flying)
Before pressing the "Go Fly" option in the app home screen the app kept showing a brief disconnect/connected notification continuously.
This was enough to quash any and all confidence I had sending $2000 worth of equipment into the sky again!
I've since taken everything back to where I bought it from 14 days ago and they are now sending to DJI. Such a shame ill be without it for, what I'm told, will be 15-26 BUSINESS days!
Really regretting the purchase of the Spark I have coming now too............

Oh my God what a pain in the @ss this is.

DJI Go screams a firmware up date is necessary. Fails repeatedly using app. DJI assistant lists multiple firmware revisions, all of which fail on the aircraft. Finally got RC to take latest version. 8 hours of working on this and counting.

DJI, please help.

I'm so sorry for the unpleasant experience, the message may fail to be delivered, this happens sometimes because of a system problem. Since you have sent in your drone, we will have damage assessment and data analysis team to help to figure out what happened to your drone and fix it, if there is anything you need our assistance, please keep us posted.

Hi DJI Team or Professionals

I have tried an update V01.03.0700 to V01.03.0800 with the Assistant 2. At 7% everything remained hanging. After that I have updated the Mavic Pro alone on V01.03.0800 with the Assistant 2. However, the remote control can not connect to the Assistant 2, Mobile, or Mavic Pro. When I turn on the remote control, it turns off automatically after about 2 seconds (the screen displays Connecting).
I despair how next?
