Anybody have some good tips on flying off a boat or other unique launching locations?  

I have done some flying with my Mavic off a 17 foot open bow v-hull boat on some local lakes.  Getting the IMU to initialize seems to be the trickiest part so far.  I found that I have the best luck placing the Mavic on the bottom of the boat near the middle where there is the least amount of motion.  As most will figure out the IMU won't initialize if the aircraft is moving around too much.

Otherwise I have found hand launching and retrieving fairly easy.  Especially using the auto takeoff.
