Can we use the DJI goggles on a P3A or P3P if we have installed the HDMI module?

Yes you can, but it will only display as video out, and would not be able to access the intelligent flight modes that are associated with the DJI Goggles via the USB port.

Would it allow a friend to view the flight thru the goggles while I fly it and view thru my Mini ipad all controls thru the app.???It sound like it will only allow viewing????

That's correct, your friend would not be able to do anything else besides get the FPV experience while you control everything else via the app.
