When you shoot in 1080p the Osmo initially zooms optically, then it adds digital zoom making use of the extra pixels that are available for 4K

Sure! I know that It is same in the most of other devices. And in the most of them is option to turn of digital zoom.

I don't think there is a way to turn it off via the DJI GO app.  We used the SDK to build a custom android app and had the programmer turn off the digital zoom by default (even when shooting in 1080) so the capability is there, DJI just hasn't enabled it.
