Hi,

I've just powered on my P4 P+ for the first time and the controller's built-in screen sticks only on the DJI logo -- it doesn't load into the actual screen.

I've paired it properly with the P4 itself and have tried all buttons, long presses etc I can think of.

I wondered if it needed a firmware update, but the tutorials I've seen suggest that it needs to be properly turned on in order to go into settings, which I'm unable to do.

I'd love some help please!

Download the DJI Assistant 2 software and install into your PC, after finish installed run the software and power on your RC then connect the micro usb to RC then connect the usb to your PC.
After detected your RC then press the RESET FACTORY SETTING and wait to reboot.

Hope this can solve your issues.

In addition to Nelsonlee's advice, please make sure you've also performed the following button combinations:

Reset the RC:
* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and link the remote.

I'd recommend manually relinking the RC to the aircraft to make sure that the connection is solid after the reset:
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller.
* Press C1, C2, and the record button on the controller, then the controller will beep like D-DD. This may take a few seconds of holding it.
*While holding the buttons, press the wheel on the right side of the controller and then the first light of the controller will become blue and it will constantly beep DDDD.
* Use a pen to click the linking button on the aircraft and hold for 3-5 seconds, and then take the pen off the aircraft and wait, it will be linked soon.

Hi, thank you for your replies. I have tried all the steps that have been suggested, but this has not done anything to resolve the issue on the RC.

DJI Assistant 2 software does not recognise that the controller has been plugged in as the controller will not power on beyond the DJI logo on startup. Unfortunately, as it will not power on, I cannot update the firmware using a microSD card.

If it continues to persist, then there's a hardware issue with the built in screen that would be best addressed via an exchange through your dealer.I do apologize for the inconvenience, but that would be the best course of action.
