All,

The latest firmware update instructions indicates that the batterie's firmware will ALSO be updated while the aircraft is updating its firmware.   Doe this mean I should power off the aircraft after the update then recycle the power with my other batteries as well?

Is the battery update part of the aircraft circuitry or is it part of the physical battery?

Comments?

Yes, that is what I did as well, this way the update can happen on each battery

Thanks.  It was implied.  Since they specifically instructed about updating multiple remote controllers, I wasn't sure if there were specific instructions for multiple batteries.

Were there any log files to delete after each update of the aircraft?

I'm also curious on how to update the Intelligent battery especially if you have multiple batteries. Do you insert them on the Phantom and do the firmware update again?

After the first update is ready ...
Power the inspire OFF ... replace the battery ... Turn the inspire ON (the RC should NOT be turned on as this will cancel the update sequence of the next battery) ... wait a few seconds.
As the update is in progress you will here the same sound from the inspire as during the first update but the LEDs on the battery will also flash indicating that they are being updated.

I did not need to remove any text files between the first and second update for the update sequence to initiate.

Note: just leaving the firmware file on the card isn´t going to generate the firmware update on your other batteries ... it needs to be done as explained above. This update is only a few minutes so I suggest you update all of your batteries right away and be done with it ...

When I did the battery update on 5 batteries, I checked the 1st update in the text file and it showed success. So I continued to update the reaming 4, when I checked the file it showed Upgrading on the 4 but did not show success. Thinking I might have shut down the battery before it was completed I started the upgrade posses a 2nd time. This is what the text file showed.

Just worried that the update on the last 4 did not complete. Any ideas?

I am not sure if the battery generates a text file or not ...
The manual only mentions text file from the Inspire and from the remote.

Can some one confirm this ?

Yes ...
But it is reffering to "the air craft" ... not the battery.
And this is confusing (at least to me).

Chris,  can you check something for me?  As you fly a lot this may not be something you might notice but after the "multiple" battery updates, I checked a few of my batteries 12-14 days after they were to trickle discharge.  None of them did.  Plugging them into I1 show they are to DC after 10 days....but they didn't.  None of them.  But the firmware update on each battery was successful.

Thoughts?
