I came across this video and had to share it. Just so everyone knows, this is not my video. But as a Mavic owner I thought this was such cool footage that more people should enjoy.
In this video, this man from Alaska hikes up a mountain and flies his Mavic at 4500 feet!

Maybe I am just geeking out over this, but I think it is so cool the Mavic could handle that altitude. Plus, the title sorta gets you. Here is the link again: Mavic at 4500ft

Thanks.

Also, I will have more of my own footage next week. Thanks for all of the comments and tips so far!

Me too. 3000m (9842ft take off point).  Jump to min 4 in the video >>

Flew like a champ!
Went to another peak at 3200m but it was crazy windy that day and would have lost my Mavic for sure.

Not trying to be a buzz-kill...here is a pic I took with my P4 (at the time) last July from Quandary Peak in Colorado...14,265 feet (4.347KM).

I know that there have been others that have flown there Phantom's even higher then this and yes, its awesome.

No buzz-kill at all. This is exactly the discussion I wanted. Very cool. I had no clue! Hope to keep seeing more and more cool mountain shots.

AWESOME! What a sweet vid. When you search on YouTube, Vimeo, AirVuz or even on here, what keywords do you usually type in to find more vids like this?

I swear mine won't go any higher than 2000ft here. It hits a predetermined height and just stops climbing. What's the deal with that? How do I change that?

Not a buzzkill at all.  A buzzkill would be to say that DJI's new software update restricts flying their drones at an altitude more than 500m above sea level.
