I have become spoiled using the iPad with my Inspire1 and would like to you use the iPad with the Phantom 2 V3+.  Can you let me know were you got your IPad holders for the Phantom transmitter?

Thanks in advance,

MC

I don't have an Inspire, but have the same question; these old eyes are struggling to see the iPhone!....

Note however that DJI do say that the Vision App (The Inspire GS app is not supported on the P2V per DJI support BTW). Is 'not recommended on the iPad'. Nobody has explained why, which is the reason I, as a noob, stuck with the iPhone version initially.

But, it does appear many here are using it successfully, so worth a go I think.

Cheers,
Ian

I downloaded the DJI app, (android version) from the DJI download page and it works perfectly on my 10' ipad.

The Vision App works fine on my iPad Air, all I have ever used as I am holding out on a smart phone.  I bought a mount from Amazon, the summit link brand.

Seems "everyone" here reports the same - It works a treat.

I was just a little "nervous" as the DJI docs all say it's "not recommended", although no reasons for that have ever been presented.....

Will check out the Summit mount, thanks - I don't do eBay, but trust Amazon. Does it come with a sunshade?

Cheers,
Ian

Sorry to be a PITA, but manufacturer & model? Or a link to it at Amazon?

Thanks,

I use to mount my iPad next to the iphone holder. But then the remote is out of balance. So now I use :
-Brodit passive holder for iPad air 2
-Tarot FPV monitor mountain bracket
-Foxtech adjustable hook for Futaba remote
This is how it looks like. To use it with a neckstrap is a bit difficult but it's oke. And allthough the controls are directly under the iPad holder it doesn't disturb you when you're flying.

Many thanks Gerry & Madam C! Much appreciated.

Just ordered mine from Amazon. Free two day shipping! Should be here tomorrow.

Having said that, gde's setup looks really nice too. We'll see how the balance is.....

i wanted versatility and swap out speed so that i can use diff devices in diff conditions.  here is what i went with:

these are slide on brackets, one is for my nexus 7 and the other for my ipad.  they use the existing phone clamp so if i want a quick flight to test something, i use my phone.  if i want better visibility (like showing friends or multiple people viewing at once), i use the ipad.  when wanting less weight and only me viewing, i use the nexus.

here are pics of them attached:

i also found that the balance was pretty off with the ipad so im thinking about adding a futaba lever on the clip slot to shift the center of mass.  the nexus is so light that i find it the best middle ground for me (light but still legible for aging eyes).

The Summitlink comes with a collapsible sun shade.  Works great and does not block or interfere with controls.

I vote that the Lego mount of teixjaun is the most innovative, versatile  and creative one yet seen.....
