I have been trying for the last 2 weeks to update to either 03.600 or 03.700 firmware for Mavic Pro.  So far, no luck.  I have tried using the app and the Assistant 2 software.  I seem to have managed to get the RC up to 700 but I cannot get the aircraft updated to either 600 or 700.  I have uninstalled Assistant 2and reinstalled.  I have reset the aircraft to factory defaults.  I have done it with 100% batteries and it takes so long that it runs them down to 50% nearly every time (wonder if this is a factor?)

I'd really appreciate some help from a DJI person on the forum.  

I am in Australia.  I have uploaded at least 10 error logs.

Please post a picture about the error messages for better assistance. Besides ,what is the current firmware version?

Current is 03.550.  It is trying to install that again now and has done so 100% complete..  RC is on 03.700. Just trying now to upload that to the Mavic Pro.  Will transmit any errors as they occur.

Just failed again to update to 03.700 - this is about the 25th time it has failed.  Here's the error "undefined"...

It has stalled plenty of times at 74%... and "3 minutes" - that's an absolute joke.

I feel you. I had the same problem. I got my Mavic a few weeks ago with and couldn't upgrade from .550 to .600 or .700.

If .550 works for you then I would suggest to just stay at that version (unless you need the Fixed Wing or DJI Goggles Mode).

I, for myself, am just hoping that their current announcement doesnt require me to upgrade my mavics firmware, because that would sure as hell brick my mavic

Here's the ways I have tried to upgrade.

Using the app with RC connected by WiFi to the Mavic - fail.

Using the Assistant 2 with RC only attached by USB - managed to upgrade it to 03.700.

Using the Assistant 2 - With RC attached by USB to PC and connected by WiFi to Mavic - failed.

Using the Assistant 2 - with Mavic only attached by USB - fail.

It's the same issue which many other's had too. DJI need to recofigure your account, that you are able to downgrade to .0350 and then successfully upgrade to .0700.

DJI Natalia wrote that in several threads.

My solution was a little bit easier, I have made a clean install of DJI Assistant 2, then created a new DJI account and used it with DJI Assistant 2. My upgrade was successful!

I received my Mavic last tuesday...so I've spent the majority of the past week charging batteries and trying to get it updated.  Like Tex21, I was able to get the remote to .0700 but the drone is stuck on 0550 and will NOT update any further.  
I have tried the methods listed above without luck (remote linked to drone using Go4 app = fail, PC cable connected to remote linked to drone = fail, PC cable connected to remote only = success loaded to .0700, PC cable connected to drone only = fail.)
I have reset to factory default, I have reformated the sd card.  Hell I even purchased a new sd card yesterday...same results.
I'm ok leaving it as is other than the fact that now that the drone is on .0550 it seems to lose connectivity during flight when it never did before...(but then I've only had time to fly it about 10 times because all my other time has spent trying to upgrade it.)  I also tried to downgrade the software on the remote back to .0550 so that it was same as the drone...but no that won't work either.

I've heard great things about DJi drones...and I agree, flying them is a fantastic experience, but the software update problem (and it is a huge problem if you search this or any other forum on the web) is making me think about seeking a refund and going elsewhere.  
I sure help there is a solution soon, because if this future update is required, then this Mavic will be useless since I cannot update it.

Don't complain, there is already a solution. Just PM your DJI account e-mail adress to any DJI Admin and they fix it for you. Or as I posted before, just use a new account only for install the upgrade, or stick with the 550 firmware and be happy with it.

700 is only necessary if you would like to buy DJI Googels.

(Update got to abotu 21%, sat a while, the Mavic restarted, then the progress jumped to 74%, the Mavic restated again, and then came back with a failure result.

I didn't see that previously.
I would be ok with an older update but I see all over the web that you want the remote and the drone to be on the same software.  I cannot roll back the remote sw, so have been continuously trying to get the drone updated.  My concern is that with the announcment the other day that the new software would lock you out if you're not current.  Hence my comments above.

1. Log into your DJI account.
2.Upgrade the firmware V01.03.0350.
3. Once it's done, please press the "Record" button on RC and make sure it's recording, then start to upgrade firmware to V01.03.0700, it will be working.

With these instructions - do you connect the Mavic via USB or the RC via USB and then the Mavic to RC via WiFi as per normal?

Also, when you say "Upgrade", in my case I suppose you mean "Downgrade" as I am already at 700 on RC.

Ok - haven't been for a fly yet, but says update is 100% complete.  What was the secret?

Just did a flight. App still crapped out after a less than a minute's flying time. It never died for the first few weeks - was rock solid on the old firmware.  Since upgrading it continually crashes - I mean every flight after a starting to record video particularly.  I am using Android, phone is HTC One M7.

Have you tried to re-install the APP? Have you tried other mobile devices, if yes, how is it going? Here is a compatibility list for your reference.

To throw away a phone that has been used from day one without issue and use only DJI approved phones which also have issues with these latest FW "updates" ?

What then, when this still crashes every single flight, even after uninstalling apps, downgrading and then upgrading FW, resetting factory defaults and multiple calibrations later?

What the hell have you people done to this software?

I had ZERO issues with this phone before upgrade, why should it now be the phone?

Its not the phone, its the dodgey software.

I have very same experience with phone as you.

Something like 44 flights with not one issue. Update FW to have very next flight disconnection problems and app crashing. Consistent and continual until downgrade.
I think the phone *list* is used in hope to avert scrutiny of software problems. I also think the mods here do a good job of keeping a lid on things.

Regarding the phone list- i wonder how they do not support HTC One. I have had this phone for 2 years and believe this is the most sold HTC model the last 2 years.
The i tried my One+ but this phone also disconnected every 2 minutes. so over all DJI do nor support/works with other phones than Iphone or Samsung.
This i believe is not taking people with these phone seriously as a costumer.
Hope the new update next week will fix all problems.

I have been using my Mavic for work, so it is quite important that they get this right - it's not a toy.  I have decided that I need a bigger screen that I can see in sunlight.  I have tried a Sony Xperia tablet recently, so I might get something like that.  Looks like I'll need one of those tablet-holder extension type devices as well for the RC.

I just PMed you Thor, I am experiencing the exact same issue. Please help
