I asked customer support for an update on shipping. I ordered mine on 5/29 and their website today still shows the solo units will ship June 15th. This is misleading bullcrap

Yesterday a Spark pilot in Singapore had cut his hand and crashed the Spark while flying in his basement carpark.

Yup.. but apparently they are charging more expensive.. & don't think has local disti support

Order Time: 2017-05-24 16:09:43 (UTC) White fly more. Card security was a mess, kicked me out 3 times, had to use different card then had to call bank to increase daily spending limit on debit card because order was $8 over! ($758)

This wait and the fact of no real solid eta has me thinking I should have ordered a Mavic first, then the Spark after the initial surge was over. But being one of the earliest to order I guess it's just a little over a week wait (hopefully).
And I'm really hoping the fact that I ordered the fly more combo doesn't hold up my order.

Officially verified today that orders placed May 25th or before are NOW SHIPPING if it was a regular spark order not the combo. You are in BATCH 1 as the inventory management system goes. Anything placed may 26th or later is automatically slated for June 30th shipping date wise, and ALL COMBOS are shipping June 30th due to supply constraint issues. Spark orders for the USA began shipping today.

This actually infuriates me.  Mine said Estimated June 15th when I ordered.  I better get it shortly after this.  Literally all my summer plans are June 20th-30th.

i ordert on 27.05.2017 and I hope the I have the spark for my Sommer Holliday (03.07.2017). I ordert the spark only version.

That is correct. As soon as I found out my local distributor would have it before DJI even start sending them out I changed tack. And since I wanted a fly-more, and they will only ship out later, the distributor said he would give me the fly-less and when the fly-more comes in(whenever that will be!) he will take the spark out and send me the rest of the gear in the combo. How could I resist!!!

I am guessing DJI's best resellers in each region. I am going through one near me and have a good relationship with them so they are taking care of me...which is more than can be said than going through DJI directly!

I went ahead and pre-ordered with Amazon tonight and figured I would cancel DJI if it really shipped on the 15th as they said it would.   Fingers crossed ;)

Ah, wish they would have said that prior to purchase or at least ship the Spark even if the rest of the combo ships later. I could have easily made due without the combo. I ordered as soon as the demo was over and he walked out the cage, so I know I'm one of the earliest orders. Lol just need to rant, already figured this would happen.

Just for fun, I spoke with Best Buy customer service today. i had to go through about three different departments before anyone could tell me anything. The last person I spoke with claimed he was the inventory specialist. He said "I am looking at my papers and since it is a third party we do not have a date that we will receive the product. " I asked if he had to ballpark guess what month they would be in and again he said I do not see anything on my papers. Hopefully DJI fulfills direct paying customers first.

Ha, thats another inventory specialist from Best Buy since last Nov with the Magic crisis.  Trust me those specialist don’t know shxt about what go to come.

I think it's pretty clear that no one knows when the combo is actually going to start shipping.  That includes the online chat reps from DJI.  It seems pretty evident to me that they're just going by what is currently showing on the website as far as shipping goes.  That's why they keep saying June 30th.  The bottom line is that we don't know when they'll ship, and neither do they.

I've dealt with online chat many time, you can't believe a word they say. I could give you a few examples of my past experiences with them, but I don't feel like typing for an hour and a half....

DO NOT ever count on DJI... You WILL be disappointed.  CS has NO CLUE about shipment or anything else.  They are ONLY reading from a script and only say what they are told.   Frankly, I think they are really badly designed robots, that DJI is testing out for their new line of autonomous cyborgs.   I PROMISE you, don't anticipate DJI sending out on time.  IT WILL KILL your excitement for the product.   I was SO damn excited to get my Mavic & delay after delay.     It completely killed my buzz for the Mavic and I was SO disappointed when I actually got.   Do NOT get too excited.  You WILL be disappointed.  Were talking about DJI here not Apple.

The excitement is building! Its at the local depot!!!

I ordered the Spark (Alpine White) on the 28th May and got the below from DJI.

"Thank you for contacting DJI online store. The expected shipping time for Spark (Alpine White) is June 15, 2017, we will send you tracking number by mail and it will take another 2-4 working days for arrival, the shipping is not delay and please kindly wait for update patiently, it probably can meet your time for holiday. [which is 1st July]

I will never order from DJI now since my local guy already sorted me out before DJI even send them out to the masses. I originally bought 2 minutes after the release but glad I cancelled my order through DJI and got it locally!

I asked 3 times DJI support and they always answered the same thing: it will be ship on june 15th, delivery to me 3-5 business day. Maybe the date of shipping depent of country too, no?
