Your link goes to a DJI site, which does not show the item, it would be better if it went to the ABC site.

FYI - you have to cut-and-paste the link, as it just takes you to the DJI Forum home is you just click on it.

Hey RHP, works for me - just tried it again. I copy all of the text and paste it into the browser address bar - all good. Try this:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/rural ... r-mustering/8550110

Anyway, thanks Cab. An interesting collection of stories from farmers who are finding a useful application for drones - all photo examples of DJI Phantoms, of course.

I wonder what sort of endurance and aircraft would be required to do an entire muster by remote

Funny that Cabansail as I was just out the front a minute ago seeing when the sheep picked up the P3P.
I think there was a guy in north island of NZ who was drone mustering. He had also fitted a siren to it from memory.

yeah, but what a cool way to get experience with Sports mode... :-)

In all seriousness though, that's a mode I've only used when playing around on an oval, because when doing video (which is my main application) you don't want speed. But when I Do kick it into S-mode, that little guy goes like a seagull after a chip.

I heard of a Kiwi who had the flock trained that when they heard the gumboots going on they would line up at the bedroom door.

Ha ha, I heard the same story, but it was the sound of Velcro lined gloves being put on.....

It interesting for us all, seeing drones being used in a positive way.
It will slowly but surely improve over time, to the betterment of mankind.
