Excellent post. Thank  you for the screenshots and explanation.

I learned a few new things about the Tello. When you fly under "Fast Mode" and change the camera settings to video, and you adjust the setting of photo quality to "High" then the image is larger and has a greater aperture.

Things move by much faster (12.5mph)  and the camera electronic stabilization most likely needs help to keep the video smooth...?...!

How fast does the Tello travel in Slow Mode? I am not inclined to flying in Fast Mode indoors but the aperture makes the phone screen clearer from a more realistic perspective then zooming in on the subject in Slow Mode.

I guess flying slow in Fast Mode and being extra careful and cautious may be a better way to fly in FPV than flying in Slow Mode?

its very hard to be smooth in fast mode.  Slow mode is about 4.5 - 5.0 mph and it is very easy to fly smoothly inside or out.

The Tello actually travels in its own Sport Mode with only a mobile device, whereas the Spark is actually limited without the Remote Controller. This is incredible that a toy drone was made in part by DJI and they released the Tello insomuch when it's matched up against the Spark with just a smart device, the Tello actually has a way faster speed and it does more and better than the Spark - with less?

Hi David,
in my experience, the spark is much faster using the sport mode switch on the controller. To be honest I really do not fly the Spark using the mobile device as the controller.

The Tello is lots of fun, but does not compare to the Spark IMO    it really opens up a very cheap SMART drone for many new younger people that do not want to invest more than $100

Probably won't matter what color on top, it's dull grey bottom is what you'll likely be able to see best. Although if it were all dark red it would also be easier to see too !
