So I just checked the firmware on the AC and RC and noticed they are different. Is this normal? AC has .400 and the RC has .600. Is this ok to fly like this? This is a brand new fly more mavic purchased from Amazon. Just wondering if this was previously used or refurbished or something, any way I can check?

That is very abnormal and i would not accept that.
you can check the date of production here.

I would also check this new drone for other issues.

Says my Mavic was manufactured Thursday, April, 27th 2017. So that seems quite new (there are no signs of use on the aircraft, all stickers were on it when opened from the package). The remote has all the stickers too, perhaps the RC was manufactured later than the AC?

sounds like they mixed it up... on the other side if everything looks well and you have warranty .. why not keeping it

Mine had .400 on the AC and  .550 on the RC.  Downgraded the RC to .400.

my question would be.... does DJI test their Mavic before they ship it? I would assume the Firmware should be the same....

Well i guess not cause otherwise this mix up wouldn't have happend.
The controller is proberbly produced at facility X and the Mavic at facility Y.
Then the 2 go on transport to facility Z for packaging.

If only X and Y would communicate,........

What happens if you try a firmware update from the app while connected to the mavic and the internet?
