Looking for some advise as I was all set to buy the Mavic last week but held off due to the DJI release this week.  

I am not new to RC aircraft and I am looking for something to take camping, fly around my home etc.  I am still leaning towards the Mavic as it is something that I can grow in to.  My first impression of the Spark is that it is limited with it's range.  

I am not concerned with the price as I was budgeting forthe Mavic anyway.

Any advise?

Man, you do not need advise. You already know you want Mavic. You just need a little persuasion to buy a Mavic. Buy that Mavic, smash that check out button.
