I'd advise treading slow. Note 3 now will not work as it crashes all of the time. Tab2 won't let you sign in. Litchi worked for me, but the dji app has pretty much bricked my machine.

After the update none of my sd cards work! why? This is the second trip I've been on where Everything works at home then when I get to my destination I can't fly because of an update! ugh starting to hate this thing! Can somebody please tell me why this thing won't read the cards that it used to before the update???

Does the new Go 4 IOS app require a log in every time the app is used?  I.e. Will I need a connection to the internet every time I fly with this new Go 4 app or is it only the first time the new app is installed?

There's no change regarding GEO, there is still an option to turn it off. Using V4.1.0 here with a P4 on existing 01.02.0602 firmware.

The app wants to verify my mobile number. I'm on a long trip abroad, how can I do that in a foreign country with my homecountry mobile number? The app detects my location and there is no possibility to change that?

So I figured the easiest thing to do would be to click "forgot my password" and follow the prompts to create a new one. I did that, but then instead of logging me in to DJI, I ended up on something called "SkyPixel" -- what the hell is that? Did I get hacked???

Hi, these two new Modes would be great for the Mavic, too. I would love to see them on my Mavic Pro.

- Take horizontal or vertical panoramas, with DJI GO 4 stitching them together automatically.
- Use the new ShallowFocus shooting mode to apply selective focus to your shots.

These two modes are MUST HAVE for all other DJI drones aswell...   Let's Hope DJI will give them to all users as soon as possible

I'm not gong to update at this point, either. I'll wait until I see people happily running this new DJO Go app AND any new firmware that might be released in the coming weeks before I jump in. I'm quite happy with the way things are on the current firmware and software.

Sky Pixel is DJIs glittery front end site for presenting and publishing photos and videos created using their products. Probably easiest to log onto dji.com on a PC for changing password.

Um can anyone direct me to a page with detailed instructions on how to install this? I have a P4 and cant seem to find proper instructions the ones I find all seem to say different things. Is this even applicable for the P4 drone?

It's applicable to the P4 in as much as it's an update for 'DJI Go 4' application used to control the aircraft on IOS (Apple) display devices.

It's downloaded to your Apple device by checking for updates in the Apple 'App's Store'.

I can't connect either ios device (iphone 6+ and ipad mini) to my DJI Phantom4 Pro+.  I receive the message "there is no content available for importing on this device."  I'm trying to use either of the DJI GS Pro app or pix4dcapture app.  Any advice would be great.  I can't find any forums with this issue.  thanks

Not an expert, but I don't think iOS devices will work with P4P+ RC, because the screen you have runs on Android OS. You need to have GSP and Pix4DCapture installed in your screen, but I'm not sure these are available for Android

I am pretty sure the QR only works for Android devices......at least that was the case for WiFi mode when trying to connect your smart phone/tablet to the Mavic Pro via WiFi...

All's well, updated just asked for login on app startup, took her up and no feared draconian control by DJI. Flew right as rain, even took her up to 410 to see if a hard limit was imposed, nope...all good.

Also app seems stable, no bugs I found.

Well done! I have the same experience. The only thing that automatically was changes was my PHOTO-setting (JPG instead of JPEG AND RAW) and the VIDEO-setting was back to 4K...

One thing is not very clear and a representative of the customer-support did not understand my question...

I asked: do I only have to re-login after installing the app or do I also need to re-ACTIVATE... could not get any other answer then: "Please Sir, look on this website".

Activation is mentioned... but I could not imagine I had to activate a drone which was already activated in January this year...

What are your thoughts about this?

Installed a few hours ago on my iPad mini 4. Test flight this evening, nothing to aggressive or far away but seemed ok. App dud seem a little more responsive but that could be down to the iPad mini 4 being a little better spec'd than my iPad mini 2.

What I would say though is the Mavic didn't seem as smoother when flying, coming to a stop was a little more harsh. Also thought the front avoidance system was better, far more responsive. Mixed bag so far...

Trying to find the flight logs on Android DJI Go 4 v 4.1.0.  They are not in the DJI Folder anymore.  Anyone know where they are now?

This is to verify that YOU the registered party owns a specific aircraft. The QR code is a square barcode like graphic that appears in the battery bay.

The same one that is also on the front  leg with the WiFi password next to it correct? I wasn't asked to scan this when I updated and logged back in to confirm.

Yes.

If you registered when you purchased, there would have been an activation step. Once this is logged in, you don't get asked during this upgrade.

I have a few of the new craft and so far, no issues.

QR only works for Android devices
iOS devices you have to put the Wi Fi code in manually

Second flight after update. Terrible firmware. Gimbal went crazy, multiple warnings for wind, despite the wind speed being 4mph. Video signal lost on iPad and goggles. Literally scared to fly it now

which update you mean? The only thing that has changed is the APP... as far as I know

My experience was that I was never prompted to log in, but I'm running 4.1.0 on both android and IOS. Only difference in flying I noticed is that I am getting random "RTH path is through a no fly zone". I'm not flying near any no fly zones. These messages don't appear in the flight logs.

All updated and no issues at all
