Hi,

My question is simple, is it possible to lock the controller to be able to put it in the back pack and avoid that the stick move into the back pack during an active track mode.
It's more easy to do an active track with the wifi with the mobile phone (you can lock it), but the range is too little, he loose quite easily the wifi.

As far as I know, it's not possible to lock the DJI controller

But it's easy to do for DJI I think... by just holding for something like 3 secondes 3 buttons of the controller in the same time to lock the controller. And the same to unlock it.

Am I the only one how need this fonction ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thank your for your reply.

I already use this locker for the sticks. But it's not 100%. I do downhill bike and with all the vibrations or shock, the sticks can move a little bit even with the plastic locker.

And it's the same problem for the rest of the buttons of the controller...

Hi,

Thank your for your reply.

It's too bad the rubber stick protectors don't keep the stick locked. There should bE a way to lock the sticks input on the app or controller while in intelligent modes temporarily

How about a hard case like this one? http://m.ebay.com/itm/Portable-Storage-Bag-EVA-Carry-Hard-Case-for-DJI-Mavic-Pro-Drone-Accessory-/252823387074?hash=item3add72bbc2%3Ag%3ACXcAAOSwdGFY0QCx&_trkparms=pageci%253Ac41fb254-42d8-11e7-8470-74dbd180a4b1%257Cparentrq%253A49e635d615c0ab12f82cc834fffeb6e1%257Ciid%253A17

Hi Lamz,

Good idea, but no...

When you are in an active track, you can't remove your mobile phone from the controller. Otherwise the drone goes out of the active track.
You have to put your controller WITH the mobile phone connected together in your backpack.

It's not very convinient isnt'it...

I searched, but no... I didn't find something to lock the controler.

It's an option who can be helpful for many sports I think. And it's something DJI can add in their program I think/hope.

Hi Lamz,

Right. Totally forgot about the phone/tablet.

What if you use the big USB port on the back instead of the small one on the side and leave your phone connected but stay outside of the case?

Good question... I didn't think about this solution.... I will buy the case for the controller and try.

What about just removing the sticks? Seems like the controls would be hard to bump/move with those removed.

I too would like this solution to quickly lock the controller. I'd mainly do it while trail running and slip the controller in my running vest. Removing the sticks seems like the only way but is a big faffy and I'd be concerned accidental touches of the screen may still happen.
It should be a super simple feature to add.
I'd like the RTH button to still override it though, just in case there's ever an issue with unlocking it again.
