So, I have a P3P. It's been in the closet for a while now because I have a Mavic Pro. But, it's time to update the P3P. Updated the RC to version 1.8.0. No problem. Updated the Phantom to 1.10.90. No apparent problem. Everything appeared to go as it should. When checking the 'about' information in the go app, it says 1.10.90. But, the go app also says I need to update firmware. When checking the .txt file on the SD card, it has lines of 'abort' stating that the firmware on the phantom is....well, here's a sample:

========== 2014.01.01 00:00:12 remo-con disconnect======
Packet: P3X_FW_V01.10.0090.bin
Upgrading ...
Result: Success.

========== 2017.05.27 11:45:33 =====================
Packet: P3X_FW_V01.10.0090.bin
Result: Abort.
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.

========== 2017.05.27 11:52:28 =====================
Packet: P3X_FW_V01.10.0090.bin
Result: Abort.
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.

But, I doubt it had the 1.10.90 firmware in January of 2014! I remember looking at the current firmware a few months ago and it was maybe two behind the current. So, I don't gt it. 1.10.90 is recognized as the current firmware, but the go app says I need a firmware update. It starts up fine, everything appears to be normal. I haven't flown it yet though (I'm inside without props on, and this issue has come up so am writing here), but I do get the 'ready to fly' notice and that the home point has been set. So, any input or suggestions here is appreciated. I guess the big question is why am I still getting the notice that I need to update firmware? Thanks -Ken

Well, you can disregard this post as it appears it was not firmware that need updating, not even the go app, but iOS. So after that update, all is normal....
