will the controller dit an iPad mini like the mavic controller?

It would appear the size specs are identical on the Mavic and Spark controllers regarding phones or pads that will fit.  Although an iPad Mini will only fit vertically, not horizontally if I read the the width correctly.  (160 mm)

There are 3rd party adapters that fit into the Mavic RC so that you can connect a tablet to the remote.  I would assume the same adapters would fit into the Spark RC.

You are correct.  In fact I have one on order from Amazon to use on my Spark whenever it gets here.

I tried it.  The remote creaks and pops more than I'm comfortable with while putting the iPad mini in.  I feel like the plastic will fail after a few times.

Correction, I "stretched" the arms first before I put the Mini it.  Worked fine.

Upfortuantly an iPad doesn't fit into the controller as well as it does with the Mavic, but this is a very good solution http://amzn.to/2sGaKte
