Despite a lot of negative postings about DJI, I want to compliment them for the good service.

I had a crash with the I1 of mine, lost GPS, flew away into a wall, which resulted in a broken arm and (I think) gimbal. Sent is for repair to DJI on the 29 feb. and yesterday I heard it was repared under warranty. Today I called them to ask them about the gimbal and to my suprise I heard that they will sent a brand new I1!! That is great service!

That's some good news for sure! My inspire was sent on 25th of February, similar situation. I haven't heard anything back since it was received by them on March 3rd but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Camera went crazy and I contacted DJI directly because of there being no dealer in my country.
The sequence of events
- Camera went crazy on Friday (after closing time in China)
- Emails answered on Monday
- Dropped my camera off to DHL on Tuesday evening and sent tracking number to DJI
- Wednesday afternoon I get an email with a tracking number for the replacement unit... and it is en-route!

This is good news. Premium service for a premium product.

There will be growing pains for this product, and it wont be cheap for DJI but Im confident they will do the right thing.

How long is the warranty on the I1?

Don't know, but I had mine for 3 weeks and had a total of 2 hours of flying with the I1. So that's a short time.

I'm located in USA so mine was sent to the office in Los Angeles
