I was wondering if anyone knew the restrictions for flying over the falls on Canada OR New York side. When I say flying over I do not mean directly. I would never do that due to the massive gusts the falls create. On that note, I have a part 107 and am aware that Canada just released new rules regarding flying. But those regulations are for recreational pilots, not commercial. Anyone have any knowledge of this? Would Canada recognize my part 107 license? TIA

I've seen similar questions on other forums and your US licence would be meaningless in Canada.  Canada has banned any recreational flying pretty much and unless you apply and get an SFOC permit from Transport Canada you couldn't enter Canadian airspace without causing a huge problem.  I'm betting that even if you flew on the american side of the falls you'd cause and incident.

US side is, for all intents and purposes, all an NY state park and pretty sure they ban drone flights within the parks. Also the airport is close.

From the Canadian infographic: Infographic
DO NOT FLY YOUR DRONE:
. closer than 75 m from buildings, vehicles, vessels, animals, people/crowds

Pretty much rules out anything near the falls.
