I tore my cable too. My supplier said it's a non cost effective repair (return to China - and they don't repair returns my supplier told me). I got going again by being patient and picking up parts on EBay. I have actually made a difficult repair to the cable as well. I have chased DJI re helping me with a stand-in cheap gimbal installation meantime. They are very uncooperative. I think I've been blackballed, and that without any offensive words from me. I've written to the CEO, but a response seems unlikely. I think DJI are following a bad customer service policy. They do a very good job at integrating things like the gimbal, but then you get zero help with alternatives. This is a unit likely to get damaged. I'm replacing my transmitter and receiver so I get control of signals at the aircraft -using the amazing open source Taranis Tx. I'm giving the CEO another chance, but I'm unlikely to use DJI kit again. DJI are probably good at customer service for their own equiment, but just try to dig down for technical help when you want to deviate from their way of doing it!
