Problem Solved So, I can now see everyone who is looking for a new drone just pop into Apple or Best Buy get full refund from your 7 month old phantom . Then just purchase a brand new one including never used battery, you have locked down a great deal there for a lot of phantom users, did you get any written confirmation or do you just need to bring it in.

I just went to both those retail locations and both managers told me that they have received a few other complaints regarding this so they are accepting returns.
The picture was DJI Support emailing me- which is why it clearly made no sense. It made as much sense as Hallmark's assumptions.

Ah, OK... I wonder why would they feel responsible for something that does not, in any way, depend on them and was not foreseeable at the moment of purchase? Anyway, good luck for a prompt solution of the issue.
