I just had the opportunity to add and use the new quick release props and adapters on my Inspire1.
I must say that these are great. Wish they came with the inspire originally.
Now it eliminates the short time it takes to add props and locks for people that store their Inspire1 in a case.
Sorry , props are $10 a pair, and adapters are $4 a pair... Looks like dealers are getting them soon
Same as used with the new E800 Tuned Propulsion Systems in the DJI store
I have a DJI E800 propulsion system and installed the adaptors onto the I1 motors.
As stated above they work great (props have not departed the aircraft in flight) fast and easy prop install during setup in the field.
Hopefully DJI will start selling a kit soon because this was the proper solution to props spinning off.
Download the E800 manual and give it a read. Talks about Active braking and being able to turn off that feature when using the self tightening props (pages 5-6).
The E800 motors are basically the same as the I1 but lack the vertical feet to properly attach, there is another thread discussing this on the forum.
Carbon reinforced Is what they are . They tested these some time ago , it was on YouTube in China where I saw them tested, and soon all new inspie 1s will come stock with them soon I'd bet .
intelligent UAS listed them and were taking preorders weeks ago as I had mentioned on a previous post... This is exellent ! ordered 4 sets of props and clips done .
Don't use aftermarket cheap good luck buy , or full carbon fiber props is what they are saying...
Do use the dji stock props or the now approved e800 quick release carbon reinforced props , excellent !
I have mine on order from Extreme UAS... I can't wait until DJI is shipping them. How did you get this "opportunity" wcough? Several others have had the same chance to test these new props & adapters as well...
