How do you protect your gimbal while traveling? I'm very nervous of flying with my drone.

Make sure the gimbal cover and clamp is on and try and keep the Mavic in a separate case (when travelling)

Have now also got one of those integrated gimbal protector and clamp; that way I don't forget to remove the clamp and burn out the wiring.

Which one did you get?

Maybe i'm missing something but didn't you get the gimbal protector with your Mavic?

I got one of these although not the same seller. I figured it was cheap enough to give it a go, and it seems to work.

Did you get the black or clear?  I have been curious about how much of your view is obstructed with flying version in terms of the gimbal rotating and the cover getting the shots or video.

I actually got the black as I wanted to also use it as a sun shade, but it does get into the frame, so I wouldn't use it. So in hindsight should have got the clear, as it would be easier to check the gimbal clamp is seated properly.
I gather there are newer designs that improved on it though for flying.

I'd worry that even the clear would show up in the frame (at least the edge of the clear).

There is a few different designs now available, such as from PGY Tech that is more open, but has "wings" on the side to block glare. Another design is a rectangular box shaped, but because it extends further out each side, the opening is wider.

I didn't know those existed. I'll have to take a look. Thanks!

My son got me one (black).  The only problem I have it fast rotation left will block the edge of the picture.  Of course, I shouldn't be going left, but sometimes spin it around half turn and it protrudes into the frame badly.  Clear wouldn't be much better, as you would see the edge of it for sure.
