Anyone able/know how to use DJI Assistant to update the remote control ? I have tried connecting to usb like the spark, nothing happens. The release notes mention adding support to assistant for the spark controller but nothing on how to get the controller to communicate.


I ended up using DJI Go to update but would like to know how to use assistant in case I need to rollback.

Just a silly question but did you have the RC powered up?

I did have the remote powered up before connecting and then tried after connecting.  

i had the same issue, didnt find anything to fix yet. charge dock has a usb to update firmware as well, but nthing mentioned with what and how

Same issue here!  No luck so far.

The remote is primarily uses the app to update the firmware. As stated in the manual, only the remote can be updated through the App.

The remote control for the time being can not be updated with DJI Assistant. No way, it only works through the App. Nevertheless I would hope that this option becomes available some time in the future.

My controller has asked for me to do a required update before I can fly again since day 2, but the download always fails.
I am at least able to cancel out of it and go on my way.

right! we all hope it!

The only Spark FW in A2 is for the AC and not the RC. RC FW is via GO 4 only at time of writing.
