I live in a So Calif desert area near Palm Springs, and well. it gets bloody hot here. In a day or two the forcast calls for 120. And that brings me to my question, is anybody out there aware of any recommended maximum operating temperatures for Phantom 3 pros ?

I was thinking of flying near an isolated natural oasis, in the late evening, but even then it will be well over a hundred. After thinking about it I'm having doubts and beginning to arrive at the conclusion that I shouldn't be flying when it's that hot.

There's a temperature range in the manual for my Phantom 3 Standard, It was a pretty narrow range..

Aloha Elbert,

The upper limit of the P3 Pro is 104 degrees F (40C).  120 degrees may be a bit excessive.

Well I managed a 46.95 C in February according to airdata. I suspect that might be a tad out.
Funnily, now in winter,  I I wasn't able to start the P3P after warming up as it returned battery temp below 15 C. Took replacement battery out of same storage case P3P was in and away it went no problems.
All in all looks like the battery has a wide tolerance range.

Ouch, not what I wanted to hear! Here in Vegas we average over 104 degrees F daily for at least 2 months! It's supposed to hit 116 today!

Aloha Vegas,

But, it is a dry heat!  Or so they tell us guys from Hawai'i.

It is very dry here. Today it was 113 with 5% humidity. I'd rather be on the islands though

I flew yesterday and the outside temp was 105. (40.5 C)  Downloaded the data and the battery temp hit 152 degrees on a 17 minute route! (66.67 C) The wind was about 12-14 mph at ground level and my P3A took it in stride. I had it up to 315ft but I'm not sure what the winds were at that height. Played the video back on my PC and it was rock solid.

Ok here's an interesting one.
Took bird out this afternoon & went though warm up routine. Then tells me battery is to cold to fly. No problems as have been here before & all I need to do is swap battery over, it'll start & away I go. Wrong! No way we're motors interested so looks like cold is also a problem. What do people who live in cold places do?
