Hi there. I have the Spark Fly More package and I can launch and control the spark with gesture mode but when I ask it to take a picture it doesn't save on the local SD card. Is anyone else having the same issue?

yup.. I'm seeing that problem too. The Spark MUST be connected to the Go4 app in order to save pictures to it's SD card..

A mí también me pasaba, no la guarda en la sd por qué no la hace, actualiza el firmware del spark y solucionado.

Even with DJI Go 4 app open the gesture mode pictures are not saving {:4_142:}

Ok, this is a different bug, if you are connected to the app, taking pictures using Gesture Mode wont tell the app to update the photos list from the drone. Take a normal photo using the app by pressing the shutter button and you'll see them appear... yeah.... this needs a fixing..

yeah i can take a photo with the Remote Control so that is all good.

Looks like theres a bug with this. There's a way to know if the image has been saved. Look at the light. If the light blink rapidly, it is saved but if the light only blink twice, it is not saved.

I don’t have problem with the selfie photo, but have problem with the gesture to recognise the selfie movement.

For that I find you should just make the frame and keep making it big and small around your face until it starts blinking.

I know I definetly saw the fast red count down blink to taking a photo.

I've found that if I had been using the RC before in video mode and didn't change back to picture mode before shutting down, subsequent hand launch and picture request would fail.

I just checked and this solved the problem for me.

However when palm launched with no phone/RC the spark should default to photo mode.

Glad it does work somehow!

Agreed.  It's a bug.  Maybe they'll fix it and add a video gesture.  ;-)

Good catch.. that's one of the things I haven't tried yet. I'll go check it out!

Are you using the gesture to take the photo? Is the problem from the gesture?

Yes, the problem we're talking about is when you're taking a photo with this gesture. So the problem is that if you left the drone in video mode previously, it won't be able to take pictures... but of course the drone doesn't know how to switch to photo mode when it's hand launched... hopefully they'll fix it in the next update!
