And please, no screaming about how it's over 400 feet and outside line of sight. This is one time when those rules don't apply.

If you listen carefully at the beginning you'll learn that it's being remote controlled -- with hand signals!

I believe it's manufactured by a company called Mother Nature. This unit is called Eagle 1. It took about a billion years to make this one but I'm worried about being an early adopter so I'm going to wait for the next release.

I've seen a few of these flying. They don't suffer with loss of GPS or need frequent compass calibration.
Also they don't need constant firmware updates. They have been known to have flyaway problem, but this is very rare.
On the down side, you can't keep them in a small black case, or carry them onto an aircraft as hand luggage.
Also they make a mess!

Just a stunningly beautiful creature, the Eastern Imperial Eagle!
(not as good as our Wedge Tailed Eagles, but that may just be an Aussie bias! )

I love the way she is constantly scanning the area as she flies, not target fixated but always on the lookout for prey or hazard.
Thanks for the link - awesome

That's the built-in collision avoidance system.

Now, I must say this! That is one heck of a flying machine. Note that the wings are not even moving! Just soaring with the lift of the air. No Battery drain! Can fly for hours!

Abe I noticed in one of your post that DJI received your Inspire the same day they received mine. I was wondering what stage of the repair process are you currently at. I was notified that my bird was checked in, that's about it.

Jones5r, just today it moved from a status of D1 to "RI Shelf". Of course I have no idea what that actually means :-)

Amazing video, lots of guys are doing it now with their Raptors.
If it wasn't for the Inspire and the business im starting, I had plans to train and hunt with a passage Red Tailed Hawk this November.
It takes a tremendous amount of time to train a Raptor and because if the I1, I wont have it.
Gonna get a Blue Jay or a Crow for the kids instead -

Kinda odd that that Eagle has fpv but the Insire doesn't (unless you send it to dls pros with a check for $700).
Seems like a pretty important feature!

Beautiful. If only one of us could fly like that! No laws, no rules just speed it up.
Wishful thinking I assume

Thanks, Mani. Actually it turned out to be un-repairable, so I now have a brand new Inspire!

It came with with the old-style props and a full set of locks. Between my old Inspire's spare props and the new ones, I'm now swimming in props. And soon the new self locking ones will arrive. Hopefully the Inspire 2 and Inspire 3 will use the same props because it'll take me that long to use them up :-)
