when do these bad boys ship? also it says a mounting bracket is needed... so for mavic one is not needed?

Apparently they 5.5 will fit the magic - and the osmo (not mobile) and phantom.

I'm interested in if we need the mounting bracket too or the existing holder will work - on the Phantom 4 pro RC.

Hey Sat, i hink You dont need new holder for Phantoms. But new holder is more comfortable with new  quick mount and connect. no more conect cables and open mount to right size.  just plug, click and fly

Just got note the crystal sky is being prepped for shipment. {:4_181:}

It's too thick to fit in the normal Mavic holder.  You'd need a 3rd party accessory.

I'm going to wait and see how this performs, I really would like one, 7.85  would be fine I can use it with Mavic Spark and phantom but to have to buy 2 extra holders another €160 on top is getting a bit steep, I also want to wait and see what if any other apps it might use, also what the pitfalls initially will be.

I think if dji had have only announced this two weeks ago I would have bought one, but waiting so long for it I'm ok to wait another while for it to bed down.

Someone on the Mavic pilots forum had contacted DJI in regards to the 5.5 fitting in the Mavic RC and they (DJI) said, "yes it''l fit".  I also thought it would be too thick.

The thickness of CrystalSky would prevent it from being used directly in the Spark or Mavic RC (without a 3rd party adapter).  I've decided to wait a while too. The UltraBright  is appealing to me for the obvious reasons. But I don't want to invest that much until it's been user-tested :-)

19 mm thickness for the 5.5" ain't gonna fit. That's 2-3 times the thickness of recent phones. Maybe they use a bungie cord. :-)

If you remove the rubber pads in the Mavic controller, the holder will accommodate about 17 mm.

Assuming that you had an adapter to mount the Crystal Sky Monitor to the Spark RC can you use the Crystal Sky on the Spark?

Anyone knows how they stack against Ipads in the heat? Ipads crap out before 100 F. In AZ we hit 100 by 10am. DJI claims 104F. Any field tests?
