Hi,
I have a Phantom 2 with the 3D gimbal and a Hero GoPro 3 Black edition. I have mounted a Lightbridge Air to the Phantom and I believe that it is all wired-up correctly. I am using the trainer output port of the Spektrum transmitter, connected to the Lightbridge Ground unit.

When using the Lightbridge assistant software's channel mapping functionality, when connected to the Lightbridge ground station, I only appear to be able to map channels to the gimbal, rather than flight functionality. e.g. When I try to control the craft without the ground station connected to the computer, the transmitter's rudder control moves the gimbal left and right! I cannot start the motors on the Phantom either. Can anyone offer me some useful basic advice please on how I should proceed? I've done lots of experimenting and research, but I'm missing some fundamental information.

Many thanks in advance for folks time reading this and responding to this post.

Make sure that your trainer port is connected to the red lead.  The black lead is for camera control.
