I had an inspire 1 for 2 years ,the pictures from the X3 are ok by that i mean not bad but not broadcast.
6 months ago bought inspire 2 with X4s, took a few go's to tweek camera to look like the X3 ,
shoot at the highest frame rate and picture quality that this size of chip will allow the pictures look a bit on the soft side.
ok can live with that just use DaVinci 14 to sharpen up picture, 2 weeks ago my inspire did an upgrade...............
the pictures are now not only soft but very noisy, so what was in the upgrade to affect the camera chip?
anybody got  any thoughts?

from what (i hear) the x4s is the same as what is on the phantom 4 pro, both of my phantom 4 pro drones are extremly noisie

DJI MINDY, my inspire 2 with X4S looks very blurry  now since new fireware update..
my friend who has the same set up is experiencing the same blurriness..
please please pass it on the the higher powers so they can address this issue

I agree completely. But we've been having worse issues than simply the focus. Let's wait for a new firmware release, which will hopefully be coming soon.

Mavic owners wait ,phantom owners wait ,inspire 2 owners don't need to be told to wait...  at least DJI should let us know they're aware of it and is being looked at and remedied this is costing us money daily

Fwiw, I noticed since the GO 4 version update, as well as the 1.9.3 for the P4 Std.  today, that the image does look soft on the screen.  The P4 Std. lens is set permanently in it so something seems to have changed with the JPG image as seen on the iPad screen possibly?

I need to put the X4S on the I2 and verify, but I'm suspicious of the JPG-to-screen quality maybe.  Don't know if it is GO 4 related (Likely), or the GL300C RC for the P4.

The original image and videos are saved in SD card directly, the quality has nothing to do with the DJI Go 4. For your Phantom 4, you can try to reset camera settings and take several pictures in Auto mode to see if the problem persists.
How about the DNG quality?

I have been having the same problem.  I completed a shoot at a construction site only to find that after 20 minutes of taking photos the images were blurry, soft, and not in focus.  Something isn't right and its only been since the update.  Commercial clients using the I2 expect DJI to make sure these things don't happen.  Quite easy to dump all our DJI equipment and use a manufacturer that actually delivers on its promise.

Sorry for the late response. We would recommend you change a computer or shoot a video in H.264 and check. The video is not blurry in our computer.

I am using brand new M200 with X4S for construction mapping purposes and I have the same issues. A lot of photos come out blurry and it is very inconsistent. Really gets in the way of my project. Please propose a fix!

Hi Mickey,
As a recent x4s (attached to an Inspire 2) user , I have also experienced strange camera results. As I was not familiar with camera drones before I relied on my previous photography experience and found myself playing around with smaller fstops.

I was going under the assumption that using and fstop of 11 would give me the most depth of field. I was a bit disappointed in my results.

I started a search for how to improve the image quality and came across some tips posted here https://store.dji.com/guides/top-10-aerial-photography-tips/

I noticed that in almost every example the fstop was wide open at 2.8 and the ISO was nearly always set to 100.

Since I have adopted this practice, my results have been better. I should also point out that I have started using the auto focus feature instead of manual. Even though you seem to set each nearly the same.

I am still very much a newbie and I'm still going out and getting familiar with this amazing bit of technology.
