I will be taking my Mavic to France at the end of summer and needed to know how hard it would be to go. I haven't registered it as I thought I didn't need too. Is there anything that I need to be aware of?

Hi, I've used my mavic in France. No problem at all. I am not registered either. Check the no fly zones with your app, basically airports, jails, military areas. Comply with the local regulations: drone in sight, below 500ft. Flying in Paris is unfortunately not allowed except on certain week ends and specific areas allowed by the mayor.

Early mornings are your friend when no one is about; better video and nicer light.  As the othe guy said, follow the rules, as shown here:

you can have a lot off problem.

Set your max to 90m to be safe and check the regulations site, it has where you can and cannot fly and the specified max altitudes for locations.

As it's all in French, I'll do the translation:

Red: No flight
Light Red: Max flight altitude = 30m
Orange: Max flight altitude = 50m
Yellow: Max flight altitude = 60m
Light Yellow: Max flight altitude = 100m
Rest: Max flight altitude = 150m
