Nothing can touch the Mavic for flying the Colorado 14,000 foot mountains.   The flight starts at the frozen Kite Lake and later around Mt. Licoln with views of Mt. Bross and Mt. Cameron (all 14ers).

Thanks!  (my wife and I quit our jobs and moved so we could be in the mountains...best thing we ever did).

Got some emails/PMs on this. This is just due west of Alma, CO and you can drive directly to Kite Lake and even camp there (no hiking required for the base area but the upper shots require at least a two hour hike at 14,000 feet).  Note, the lake is now thawed and  you can hike snow free now.

(Update, July 6, 2017).  You can now hike the entire route snow free but there are still good opportunities for a glissade if you wan to enjoy the snow.
