The $479 5.5 CrystalSky Monitor was looking good but $78 to charge + $79 mounting bracket (not even compatible) + $$ a phone bracket to mount the mounting bracket to.

Q#3 Page 4 "USB power supply port can be used to  charge a mobile device of 5V/2A" Can this be used to charge the Mavic Pro RC?

surely it comes with a power cord?  

So phantom 3, phantom 4 or inspire charging cord is required in order to charge the battery.  Mavic isn't on the list.  You would think the manufacturer would include a a charging cord to charge their "rechargeable" battery.

Is the Crystal Sky Monitor compatible with the Mavic Pro and the Spark?  I have not seen a definitive answer from DJI on compatibility with the Mavic Pro... and I've seen nothing about the Spark.  I'm considering getting this monitor becuase running my Mavic with my phone isn't working so great.  It kills my iPhone battery really fast. And if I'm going to spend the money to get an ipad spending a little more to get a monitor I can view in daylight seems like a valid option.

Hey all spent the day yesterday filming with it on the boat:

I will go more into detail on the os / usage of the devices in another review but:

I found my self in places on the boat ive never flown from because the phone or ipad would be to glared out. the brightness is def more, but the biggest improvement seems to be how little glare the screen gives back compared to phones or tablets. Also with the screen to fly im not killing my phone on a full day out on the water. Here some pics holding the controller its really not all that bad. Nothing worse that an ipad mini 4 with hood thats for sure, and it seems more compact i really like the form factor.

Let me remove the rubber from the controller and see if it fits, ive never liked flying with the screen below me so i never tried it.

None of the crystal skys come with powersupplies. You will need a P3 or newer brick. (Basically need somethign that charges the inspire style remote.

You used the hub to charge a crystalsky battery not with an inspire 2 charger? Just verifying cause manual said I2 charger.
Also how do you have it mounted before you try removing the rubber from the controller?

Don't compare cables but only charger bricks. Even if cable supports that load it doesn't matter because brick doesn't.

Wait so can someone tell me.... do I need to get an additional charger for the crystal sky? The mavic charger won't charge it?

Yes I updated the original post with a link to the battery hub user manual and the picture shows the only compatible chargers.

ALSO think about how you are going to mount the CrystalSky Monitor to the Mavic Pro RC.  How to connect Mavic Pro to 5.5 CrystalSky Monitor?

Found this charger for Cystal Sky on Amazon for under $16.  Got it in one day and works with the battery charging hub.
