I have asked that question elsewhere some time ago but didn't get an answer.

"As they look familiar, could I use the remote of my Mavic for the Spark?"

Tviscomi:   Are you sure?   -  How come, that the range of the Spark is also quiet far WITH controller?  -  I think, that this is would not be possible in WIFI mode.
I thought also, that the Spark-controller will be the same as the Mavic-controller except that the Spark-controller has no display....

Quite sure...below is copied from DJI Website:

The Mavic remote controller uses DJI’s OcuSync transmission technology, giving it an increased range of up to 4.3mi (7km) in open areas without interference, FCC compliant

What Tviscomi said is right, the RC is not compatible, the RC of Mavic cannot be linked with Spark.

The rc tech the spark uses is based on the older lightbridge tech, the mavic is using occusync

The mavic controller would transmit very robust link and control data and the Spark would go,..."WHAAAT?"

Ocusync is a transmission system developed by DJI for the Mavic.
Spark uses a high powered Wi-Fi transmission.
Although they shared the same frequency (2.4 Ghz), they use different "languages"
