i recieved my Mavic Pro friday, June 23rd. In the past 5 days i have spent several hours attempting to upgrade the firmware. the RC has succesfully upgraded, but the aircraft continues to fail. i have tried every method i can think of using both the DJI Go 4 app and DJI assistant 2 on PC. i have reformatted the sd card several times prior to upgrade attempts and even replaced the sd card with another one that i know to work from my P3 pro. i called DJI support on the issue and they walked me through several methods over the course of an hour but still no luck. they advised me to return the drone for a replacement. but i am determined to try to get this solved, hopefully without needing to send it in since my p3 is already in for warranty repairs at only 3 months old. i have read many other threads about this problem, which seems to show how common this problem is, but yet DJI care doesnt seem to have a cure yet. i see DJI Natalia seems to be helping many people out with this issue, so maybe she will see this and chime in? thanks in advance for any help!

When you try and update the firmware via the Assistant 2, how long would it get before it fails? To troubleshoot the app method, have you already tried reinstalling the Go ap and ensuring you have a stable internet connection? I do apologize if some of this seems redundant.

when i update on the assistant 2, it gets to 60%, then sits there for several minutes, the aircraft restarts, it stays at 60% for several more minutes, and then fails, restarting the drone when it fails.

i have reinstalled the go 4 app on both my phone and tablet, and have a good internet connection. from the apps home screen i have long pressed the menu button to open the "black screen" to try to update that way, but often times it shows prompts for phantom 4, even though at the main screen it shows that it is connected to the mavic pro.

is  it possible to add firmware  V0350 to my account so i can try that downgrade method that many have found successful? my account email is jurgs2007@gmail.com

Make sure you are on the most recent Assistant 2.  When you connect please refresh the current firmware and restore to factory defaults.  After you have done that, power cycle the craft and reconnect to Assistant 2.  See if you can then upgrade.

i have done all of this. i have version 1.1.2-2  of the assistant software. have restored to factory defaults several times, have formatted the sd card several times. have attempted connected to the controller and have attempted connected to the aircraft. i have use assistant 2 on my pc, i have use dji go 4 on my phone and tablet. i have tried long pressing the menu button in the go app and upgrading to every one of the software versions available. same on the assistant software. i have connected my phone and tablet to my aircraft via wifi. i even replaced the sd card and formatted several more times. everything has failed. the controller upgraded just fine, but the aircraft has been nothing but a headache since i opened the box. i have wasted countless hours in the last 5 days attempting this seemingly impossible firmware upgrade.

im sorry if i seem a bit edgy, but thats because i am. just spent another $1200 on what appears to be yet another faulty product from DJI, and phone customer support just wants me to send it in for repair, which i have heard can take over a month and i have only owned the drone for 5 days. i have spent over $3,000 on DJI products in the past 6-8 months, and they are all failing me. if i cannot get this mavic working properly before this weekend, i will be returning it for a refund and finding another manufacturer.

but back to the main topic.. could you possibly add V0350 to my account so i can attempt to downgrade? i have seen many  people have success downgrading first, then being able to upgrade.

Jurgs, sorry for your experience.  I would ask you for a little more patience before you send it in to us.  Can you check the update log and tell us what it says?  Can you connect the RC to the Craft?  If not, then in the App, upper right hand corner of the equipment page, press and hold the icon for 10 seconds that will bring up a dropdown.  What version of the RC firmware are you on?  

i cannot for the life of me find the logs for the assistant 2. i did however find logs for the go app and will post them shortly when i get them off my phone. rc is updated to 0900 but aircraft is still at 0400

I feel so sorry for the inconvenience caused, I have contacted engineer to add 0350 firmware to your account, please refer to the steps below to upgrade it via the DJI Assistant 2 again.
1. Log into your DJI account.
2. Upgrade the firmware V01.03.0350.
3. Once it's done, please press the "Record" button on RC and make sure it's recording, then start to upgrade firmware to the latest version.

V01.03.0350 still is not available on my account. i will wait a while and see if it is there later

meanwhile, how do i find the upgrade logs for assistant 2? the video tutorial that was posted on another thread was for assistant 1, and assistant 2 does not have the same file folders.

im not sure what changed, but i finally was able to upgrade the aircraft to V01.03.0500 successfully. currently attempting V01.03.0800. will report back later

well, after several more failed attempts and charging all 3 batteries a couple times each, i finally got to the newest firmware version!  what a headache! i really hope this isnt going to be how every firmware update in the future is going to be.

I recently upgraded to the Mavic and it said a firmware update was available.  So I downloaded DJI Assistant 2 to my computer and proceeded to upgrade via USB cable.  It downloaded and installed but after a restart of everything it told me that another firmware update was available, the drone was still on .400 instead of .900.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Did you upgrade the RC? Please make sure the RC and the drone both are up to date.

Yes the RC updated with no problem but the Mavic keeps failing, over and over and over

What is the error message on DJI Assistant 2?

it took me many many failed attempts to get it to work. i finally was successful by upgrading to .0550, then .0800, then .0900 using assistant 2 with only the drone connected via usb. it still failed about 10 times throughout that process, but it was eventually successful. also, between each attempt i restored to factory defaults.
