I had trouble opening DJI GO app on Samsung Galaxy S8.
The app did not launch and closes automatically whenever i click to open it. It showed error about screen resolution which i have never seen in my previous mobile (Galaxy S6).
I have also tried few display setting and still no luck.

Is there any workaround for this? It's the latest version of GO app for android.

I too just had the same issue on my Galaxy S8. The app just crashes now at startup (And right before our long weekend where I was going to play with the device, just awesome.

I cleared the cache / app data, uninstalled, used the QR Code and the same issue happens:
- app starts up and warns about screen resolution (which I ignore)
- goes through the terms and service agreement (which I accept)
- App immediately crashes with a restart app option (which never works).

Considering I only bought my Phantom last Sunday, and it was raining all week to play with it. I was taking a week off starting this Canadian long weekend just to have this app update completely kill any chance I have of playing with it. Considering this is a flagship device you would think that it would be tested before the app release. I've bought a ton of accessories and extra batteries and now I can't even use the device to the full potential.

All I can say is .. awesome.

Thank you, this is what worked for me! I was having the same issues on my S8+ as the OP, these steps solved my issue. I am away from my controller and drone, so unable to test with the controller, but before, the app was crashing with nothing connected, and now it starts and gets me to the screen to select the type of drone!

Just kind of an update.  I used this method to successfully address the issue as well.  Just wanted to post an update 2 months later.

Other than the screen is too small for my aging eyes, I never had any other issue with my S8

I got my device bricked, thank full I just recovered it.
