new firmware update went smoothly and perfectly, however every single setting i had has been wiped.ideas?

Whenever you update firmware, many settings go back to defaukt values.
That's quite normal.

the firmware went perfect until i went to calibrate the gimbal.  then it froze at 50% and getting the severe vibration that wont stop as i have mentioned in the other topic.  grrrr

As Labroides replied, the personal settings would be wiped when you update the firmware, so you need to reset them again.
About the gimble calibration, had you tried to restart your drone and try to calibrate it again. or if it still stops, could you please provide a video so that I can help?
