My DJI Phantom 3 Standard is only getting about 600-700 feet for the range. The farthest I have been able to get it is only 1500 feet in the middle of the country. Could there be something wrong with the antenna on my drone or on the drone? Is there a software fix to this or are you getting similar results with your Phantom 3 Standard?

my best stock was 1500 ft too. i have a dbs panel antenna and my best was 5k..where abuddy gets 11k and that day i only got 700..he never updated fw hes on 2.3 lol

I got up to a mile once, I am pretty sure I just happened to be in the right place, usually it is about 1300 for me consistently in the city.

The farthest I reached with my stock was 2,200 feet.  I recently installed the DBS mod and have been getting out to 6,000 feet with ease.

you can buy a cheap windsurfer parabolic disc it will increase the range.and you can use the icarus app on phone to change the dbi if its not already 27 dbi.i use both and it works for me as i live in a ce region and the dbi is set to max 17 in my country but i change it to 27 dbi. you need to change it both for the rc and ac its in the same app and its easy to do

I get 500m stock antenna

P3S uses wi-fi so 600-700 feet in an urban environment would typical. I can get ~1 kilometre out in the desert though.

typically I get over 400m ,   a couple of days ago back in the old pit I got out to 790m

somewhere about 100 dollar, but thing about the fact that you need to drill in your controller and you will lose warranty. the argtek wifi and signal extender is also an option, but you don't have to drill and it costs less, about 60 dollar

Be forewarned, there are no directions in the box but plenty of step by step videos on YouTube. From start to finish it probably took me 45 minutes to take out old cables and wifi panels and put the new mod on.  It really changed flying for me for the better!
