Maybe I'm just having a brain fart but where do I find the download for dji assistant 2.

There are some users who have problems updating firmware using the app but are able to easily do it with Assistant 2. Also, Assistant 2 give you access to the Mavic log files from the non removable SD card. It also is necessary to use this for Vision sensor calibrations.

I have never used the assistant should I download it and do the vision sensor calibration, is it necessary. Thanks just got my mavic and already flew it twice no problems

You would only need to do a vision sensor calibration if the app advises you to do it. If that happened then you would need the Assistant 2 software to do the calibration.

Do you download assist onto my phone or computor. I apologise for my lack of knowledge. Very new to this technology. Please help

Its not for android phones, or IOS phones its for windows computers or Apple computers.

They fix the otg cable for android?4.2.6

Download the Assistant2 to your PC or iMac/air, use a standard USB A to Micro USB cable (not the OTG cable) to link the PC etc directly to the update port on the drone, then simply Login to the app and follow the Assistant's on screen instructions.

It's there. I found another post....It is call "assistant" in app files. Who would of thunk that.

Hi there, sorry for the trouble. Can you please provide a screenshot on the page where you can't find  the file DJI assistant 2? Did you try to use a different internet connection?

Its so annoying when you instal that after that you be prompt to install an ANDROID USB Driver thetering  service from https://www.joshuawise.com/horndis

WHY the heck should somebody use that on the Mac?

So when you go to http://www.dji.com/mavic/info#downloads , you find the Phantom 4, OK then do you then click the zip, exe or dmg ?

If you are on Windows, you pick the ZIP or EXE
If you are on a Mac, you download the DMG
