Bad news. Received update today re: their removal. Engineering has absolutely no plans or consideration to restore the user's ability to turn it on or off. DJI would rather let its software dictate what the customer can and can't do. Say goodbye to waypoint flights and say hello to more limitations. This type of decision is exactly why people are hacking DJI products:

Maybe I misread the text in the link posted. But I did not see anything about removal of waypoints. New firmwares from DJi would probably search for specific code in your drone (hacked code), and if it is hacked <Do something>.

If DJI removes functions for drones with legit firmware, then all hell will break loose.

No- that article was about hackers. But the Smart RTH toggle is now gone, causing many problems (including waypoint missions) which have been discussed in these forums for a while.

I was just pointing out that these dumb decisions by DJI are inspiring more people to hack.
