Hi all,

I'm taking my Mavic sailing in a couple of weeks time but it worries me that if something was to go wrong I could lose it to the bottom of the Aegean. I have DJI care so my thought is as long as i can retrieve it I can get it replaced.
I've seen the styrofoam balls that attach to the legs but I reckon they would come off pretty easily if it was anything but a planned landing. The also make it look too high so could easily tip over. My current thinking it to just attached some form of polystreyne to around the body. It wouldnt be pretty though but as long as I avoid the sensors I think it could keep it afloat while a rescue attempt is made.
Has anyone else crafted something to help a stricken Mavic float?

Not sure if the floater will work well in waves. Your Mavic may float but do watch out for the waves or....sharks...

No these foam balls have  clip that snaps to the landing gear, you should be ok
